Lavender stems on textured linen

About this Frame TV artwork

A botanical study of lavender stems on textured linen. The plant is placed off-centre with breathing room, which is what keeps close-up floral art from feeling cramped on a wide screen.

Painted as a watercolor, the piece relies on granulating pigment and loose, wet-into-wet edges rather than hard outlines – the texture that reads as paper, not pixels, on a 4K screen. The medium is minimal ink and wash.

Try it in a hallway or study Frame with a wide matte – the extra border makes the composition feel gallery-hung. If the image looks too bright, the Frame's Art Mode settings let you lower brightness independently of TV mode; a small reduction goes a long way with this palette. It belongs to the summer rotation, when coastal light and open skies feel right on the wall.

Supplied as a 3840 × 2160 sRGB JPEG, it needs no resizing or cropping for the Samsung Frame, and displays correctly on LG, Sony, TCL and Hisense art-mode TVs too. This design is one of 1,267 in the bundle.
