About this Frame TV artwork

A botanical study of snow-laden fir branch in close view. The plant is placed off-centre with breathing room, which is what keeps close-up floral art from feeling cramped on a wide screen.

The watercolor handling keeps the washes translucent, with the paper's white showing through the lightest passages and soft, bleeding edges where colours meet. The medium is zen sumi-e ink wash.

It pairs well with a warm-white matte on the Frame, which pulls the palette together and hides the panel edge. For the most convincing result set Art Mode brightness two or three notches below the default and the colour tone to warm; the painted surface then looks matte rather than lit. It is a winter piece, made to carry the Frame from January until the first blossom scenes go up.

The file is delivered at 3840 × 2160 pixels (4K UHD, 16:9) as an sRGB JPEG – the native resolution of every Samsung Frame from 43" to 85" and a format every 4K TV, Roku and Fire TV accepts. It is included in the 1,267-design Frame TV art bundle.
