About this Frame TV artwork

A holiday scene of witch hat and besom beside a cottage hearth, kept painterly and text-free so it can stay on the TV for the whole season and come back next year.

Gouache gives the design flat, velvety colour and crisp decorative shapes – a matte finish that hides the fact that it is on a screen. The medium is storybook gouache.

It pairs well with a warm-white matte on the Frame, which pulls the palette together and hides the panel edge. If the image looks too bright, the Frame's Art Mode settings let you lower brightness independently of TV mode; a small reduction goes a long way with this palette. It is part of the Halloween rotation – atmospheric rather than gory, so it can stay on the Frame all October.

The file is delivered at 3840 × 2160 pixels (4K UHD, 16:9) as an sRGB JPEG – the native resolution of every Samsung Frame from 43" to 85" and a format every 4K TV, Roku and Fire TV accepts. It is included in the 1,267-design Frame TV art bundle.
