Gouache & Folk Art Frame TV Art

Gouache dries flat and opaque, which is exactly what a TV screen wants: no gloss to fake, no depth of field to give the game away. These designs use simple stylised shapes, visible matte brushstrokes and a limited hand-mixed palette – the look of a painted folk panel or a storybook plate.

They are the warmest set in the collection and the one guests tend to comment on. Seasonal folk pieces – Christmas villages, Halloween cottages, harvest tables – sit alongside naturalist birds, animals and still life.
