Samsung Frame TV frames – the magnetic bezels that clip onto The Frame – are the single biggest visual upgrade you can make to the TV. Whether you call it a Samsung TV frame, a frame TV frame or a television frame, it is the same part: a slim surround in white, beige, teak, walnut or gold that turns a TV with a picture frame look into something that reads as a real frame. The black bezel it ships with says “television”; a wood or white one says “picture frame”, and it costs less than a year of the Art Store. Here are the options from Samsung, from third parties, and for TVs that are not a Frame at all.
Samsung Frame TV frames (official bezels)
Samsung sells magnetic customisable bezels that clip onto the Frame’s edges in a couple of minutes, no tools:
| Finish | Style | Typical price |
|---|---|---|
| White | Modern (flat) | $100–200 |
| Beige | Modern | $100–200 |
| Teak (light wood) | Modern | $150–250 |
| Walnut / Brown (dark wood) | Modern | $150–250 |
| Black | Modern / bevelled | Included, or extra for bevelled |
A gold frame TV or white frame TV is a matter of clipping on the right bezel – Samsung The Frame TV frames are sold per size and per model year. Sizes and finishes vary by model year – bezels for 2021-and-later Frames (LS03A onward) are not interchangeable with 2017–2020 models, and each size needs its own bezel. Buy the bezel matching your TV’s model code (e.g. QN65LS03D → 65”, 2024). “Oak” is what Samsung calls teak in some markets.
Frame TV frames by colour and size
The searches people make – “frame TV gold frame”, “Samsung Frame TV white”, “frames for Samsung Frame TV 65” – map onto the same grid: pick a finish, then the bezel for your size and year.
| Finish | What it suits | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Gold frame TV (Samsung gold or third-party) | Traditional rooms, oil paintings, dark walls | Samsung has offered a limited gold/metallic finish on some years; Deco TV Frames is the reliable source for a Frame TV with a gold frame |
| White frame TV | Modern, Scandinavian, coastal | Samsung The Frame white bezel is available for every size 32”–85”; Samsung Frame TV white looks best with a white or pale-grey matte |
| Wood frame TV (teak / oak) | Mid-century, contemporary | The most popular upgrade; Samsung’s teak plus real-oak options from Etsy makers |
| Wooden frame TV (walnut / brown) | Dark, traditional, library rooms | Samsung walnut and brown; third-party dark oak and mahogany profiles |
| Beige | Warm-neutral rooms | Samsung beige; pairs with a beige matte |
| Black | Black gallery walls, media rooms | Included; bevelled black on some years |
Sizes: every Frame TV frame is size-specific – Samsung Frame TV frames 55, frames for Samsung Frame TV 65, 75 and 85 are different parts, and the 2021+ generation (LS03A onward) does not fit 2017–2020 TVs. Samsung Frame Pro frames (2025, 65”–85”) use the Pro’s own bezel set; check “Frame Pro” on the listing. If you need TV frame sizes for a non-Samsung TV, measure the panel’s outer dimensions and buy a frame made for that width.
Third-party frames
The third-party market is where the Frame gets interesting:
- Deco TV Frames – the best-known. Real wood, metallic (gold, champagne, silver) and ornate profiles, plus “alloy” premium ranges. Magnetic mount compatible with every Frame year and size. Ornate gold on a dark oil painting is the most “gallery” look available. Pricier than Samsung’s – budget $300–800 depending on profile and size.
- Frame My TV and similar – custom-built frames including options for non-Samsung TVs and mirror-TV setups.
- Etsy makers – handmade wood bezels in oak, walnut, ash and painted finishes, often $150–400, magnet-mounted. Check that the maker lists your exact model year.
All of these attach the same way as Samsung’s: magnets on the TV’s edge, no tools.
Which colour?
Match the room, not the art. In practice:
- White / beige: modern, Scandinavian, coastal rooms; pale walls. Makes the TV visually shrink.
- Teak / oak: the most versatile; mid-century and contemporary rooms. Reads instantly as a frame.
- Walnut / brown: traditional rooms, dark walls, still-life and oil-painting art (oil painting collection).
- Gold / ornate: formal rooms, classical art; pair with a shadow-box or warm-white matte and a picture light.
- Black: works in a gallery wall of black frames; otherwise it is the “TV” option.
Pair the bezel with a digital matte in Art Mode of a similar tone and the effect compounds – see how to make Frame TV art look real.
TV frames for any TV (non-Samsung)
Can you put a frame on any TV? Yes. You can frame an ordinary TV – frames for Samsung TVs that are not The Frame, and for LG, Sony or TCL sets, follow the same idea: a picture frame around the TV, mounted on the wall or the TV edges. A wooden TV frame, a wall TV picture frame or a decorative TV frame all fall into this category:
- Third-party TV frames (Deco TV Frames “for any TV”, Frame My TV, several Amazon brands) attach to the TV edges or the wall around it. They hide the bezel and give a picture-frame look; they cannot add a matte screen or art mode, so pair them with a screensaver setup (art for any TV).
- Motorised art covers hide the TV entirely behind a canvas that slides or rolls away – a different, more expensive solution for people who never want to see the screen.
Decorative TV frames on the wall
A decorative TV frame on the wall, a wall TV frame or a picture frame for a wall-mounted TV – as opposed to a bezel clipped to the TV – is a frame fixed to the wall around the screen, sometimes with a TV border frame that overlaps the panel edge by a few millimetres so the TV sits inside it with a frame around it. Frames for a TV on the wall need to clear the mount’s tilt and the TV’s vents; flat-panel TV picture frames from Deco TV Frames, Frame My TV and similar makers are made to standard TV dimensions. A painted TV frame (paint the moulding to match the wall or the other frames) is the classic gallery-wall trick, and a faux TV frame – a lightweight foam or MDF moulding – is the cheap DIY version.
DIY picture frame for a TV
A common weekend project: picture-frame moulding cut to size with mitred corners, glued into a frame slightly larger than the TV, and attached with magnets, Velcro or an inner lip that rests on the TV edges. Points that matter:
- Leave ventilation – the TV’s vents are usually on the back and top; do not seal the top edge.
- Keep the inner lip shallow so it does not cover the picture or the Frame’s sensors (bottom centre).
- Weight: use lightweight moulding or attach to the wall mount rather than the TV.
- For a Frame TV specifically, buying a magnetic bezel is usually cheaper than the time – DIY makes most sense for a non-Samsung TV.
Fitting a bezel
- Turn the TV off and unplug the One Connect cable if the TV is on a stand (wall-mounted Frames can be done in place).
- Remove the existing bezel: pull each side gently away from a corner; the magnets release.
- Attach the new bezel corner by corner, checking the sensor window at the bottom is clear.
- Check the gap is even; adjust before the magnets fully seat.
Then give it something worth framing – the collections are organised by style so you can match the art to the frame.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Samsung Frame TV come with a frame?
It comes with a slim black bezel fitted. Coloured and wood bezels (white, beige, teak, walnut, brown, and limited editions) are sold separately and clip on magnetically in minutes.
What bezel options does Samsung offer for the Frame?
Samsung's own: modern (flat) style in white, beige, teak, walnut, brown and black, and a bevelled style in some colours; availability varies by year and size. Third parties add gold, ornate, real-wood and custom-finish frames.
Are Deco TV Frames worth it?
They are the leading third-party option: real wood, metallic and ornate profiles that fit Samsung Frame sizes and years, with a magnetic mount. They cost more than Samsung's bezels but transform the look, especially the gold and dark wood profiles.
Can you put a frame on any TV?
Yes. Third parties sell frames that mount around ordinary flat-screen TVs (usually attached to the TV edges or the wall), and a DIY frame from picture-frame moulding is a common project. It improves the look, though without a matte screen and art mode it will not fully pass as a painting.
Which bezel colour makes the Frame look most like art?
Anything but black. Light wood (teak/oak) and white read most like a picture frame; walnut and gold suit traditional rooms and dark art. Match it to other frames in the room.
